Gautam Gambhir was critical of Royal Challengers Bangalore's approach after y released 10 players for upcoming IPL 2021 season. Giving furr clarification, Gambhir mentioned that it will only d to insecurity among players going forward.

“ biggest problem with RCB is plethora of changes y make every year, it will only bring insecurity to even players who are a part of squ. It’s t just about releasing 10 players, even retained ones would be thinking that if y have one more b season, y will be ousted too. This is a problem for coaches and mentors just to save ir positions, y cant blame players,” said Gambhir while interacting on Star Sports show Cricket Connected.

While manment decided to release a few names, y were forced to strike off two names from ir list and those names include former wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel and veteran South African fast bowler Dale Steyn. Patel h anunced his retirement from all forms of cricket in December and refore, it was a -brainer that he was never in Bangalore team manment's scheme of things for upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Steyn h me it clear to Bangalore franchise on his official Twitter handle that he did t wish to participate in 14th edition of marquee tournament due to personal reasons.

At same time, three-time finalists decided t to go ahe with a handful of players after an underwhelming performance in previous edition. se players include Indian Test specialist Umesh Yav, Proteas all-rounder Chris Morris, English all-rounder Moeen Ali, Australian limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch, Sri Lankan all-rounder Isuru Udana, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, all-rounders Shivam Dube and Pawan Negi.
