Social media reckons Gautam Gambhir dropped KL Rahul after backing him on the eve of the Pune Test. On the eve of the game, India head coach Gambhir admitted that the playing XI is not decided on social media and the management would be backing Rahul. “Social media doesn't decide the playing XI. Yes, he would want to score big runs. And this team management is looking to back Rahul," said Gautam Gambhir on the eve of the game. There had been criticism over Rahul's inability to stand up when required and with Sarfaraz Khan getting among the runs in the Bengaluru game it was going to be tough for the former to make the XI. Fans now reckon that Gambhir has let Rahul down.
