Interview saga
In a recent interview, Irfan had claimed that he had started the demise of the former opener's career. He recalled the discomfort he had caused Gambhir during the 2012 bilateral series between the two teams. In the series consisting of three one-day internationals and two T20 matches, Irfan dismissed Gautam Gambhir four times. After that series, Gautam Gambhir struggled to regain his form at international level.
