Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has said that one must t put too much pressure on youngster Shubman Gill after a dream start to his Test career in recently-concluded away series against Australia. 

Gill, who was warming bench during pink-ball Test at elaide Oval got an opportunity in following Test match (Boxing Day) at iconic MCG and re was looking back for him from n on as he finished with 259 runs in three matches.

"Gill should be opening with Rohit Sharma, doubt about it. But let's t jump gun. We just can't put someone really high up re. Yes, he has got talent but he needs to keep his he down because international cricket can be tough," said Gambhir while speaking on  Star Sports Game Plan.

"Yes, you have h a honeymoon start to your international career. It can't be better than this. Playing in Australia, winning series with a young side. You have done really well", 2011 World Cup winner ded.

"You have batted beautifully, doubt about it, but let's give him time as well and let him develop on his own rar than putting too much pressure and too much expectations on him", cricketer-turned-commentator/analyst furr ded.
