George Bailey leaves everyone shocked with his unusual batting stance

Australian batsman George Bailey stunned everyone with his unusual batting stance during the first day of the seventh match of the ongoing season of the Sheffield Shield between Tasmania and Victoria in Hobart.

In the 25th over of the game in Tasmanian innings, Bailey almost showed his back to Chris Tremain who was running in to bowl. It was at the last moment that Bailey got back into a normal batting position to eventually pull a short delivery from Tremain. The Australian batsman has a history of batting with unusual stances as he has experimented with his stance even during his time in international cricket

Tasmania won the toss and put Victoria into bat. The hosts successfully bowled out the visitors for 127 in 41.5 overs. Nic Maddinson was the top-scorer scorer for Victoria who scored 69 off 68 balls, which included five boundaries and six maximums. For the hosts, Alex Pycroft and Jackson Bird inflicted the most damage as the duo bagged three wickets each.

In reply, Tasmania posted 226 on the board which gave them helped them get a substantial lead of 99 runs. Bailey came in to bat at No. 5 in the 15th over and ended up scoring 41 off 67 deliveries with the help of six boundaries before getting dismissed by Victoria spinner Jon Holland. Tasmania are placed second on the points table while New South Wales tops the table.

The next game of the Sheffield Shield 2019-20 season will be played between Queensland and Western Australia which will begin from Saturday, November 2 at the Gabba. Usman Khawaja will lead Queensland while Western Australia will be led by Mitchell Marsh.
