India and Australia locked horns in the third T20I of their five-match series in Guwahati on Tuesday. Australia won the match by 5 wickets to keep themselves alive in the contest. Glenn Maxwell produced a brilliant knock in the run chase as he scored an unbeaten 104 off 48 balls to help Australia win the game after two consecutive defeats in the series.

Glenn Maxwell's century helps Australia stay alive in the T20I series
Glenn Maxwell scored a scintillating century to help his team chase down a target of 223 runs. Batting first, India posted 222/3 in 20 overs thanks to a sensational century from Ruturaj Gaikwad. However, Gaikwad's century was overshadowed by Maxwell's effort in the second innings of the match as Australia managed to claim victory in a must-win game for them.
Prasidh Krishna registered an unwanted record in the match as he became the Indian bowler to concede most runs in a men's T20I match. Prasidh gave away 68 runs in his quota of four overs. Glenn Maxwell was named the player of the match for his brilliant knock.
