Glenn Maxwell's Indian-origin wife shares heartfelt message after his century against 'Men in Blue'

Glenn Maxwell took the third T20I match away from the Indian team as he slammed a 47-ball hundred and also kept the team alive in the series.

Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell stole the show in the third IND vs AUS T20I match and scored a match-winning ton. Maxwell played a knock of 104* runs and hit a total of eight fours and eight sixes. The Aussies kept themselves alive in the series and will now head to Raipur with the aim of levelling the series.

  • India lead the five-match T20I series by 2-1
  • The fourth IND vs AUS T20I match will be played on December 1 
  • Team India won the first two T20I matches of the series by two wickets and 44 runs respectively

Vini Raman shares a heartfelt appreciation post for husband Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell enjoys massive popularity in India due to his IPL stint and also his Indian-origin wife Vini Raman. Raman was seen constantly supporting Maxwell throughout the 2023 ODI World Cup and also uploaded glimpses of her watching the match on social media. 

Vini Raman was once again seen appreciating her husband and reacting to the ton he hit during the IND vs AUS 3rd T20I match. Reposting, BBL franchise Melbourne Stars' post on her Instagram story she wrote while tagging Maxwell, “home time”. 

Glenn Maxwell will be returning home with other three Australian players including Josh Inglis, Marcus Stonis, and Sean Abbott after the third T20I match.

Glenn Maxwell breaks a series of records in the third IND vs AUS T20I match 

After Glenn Maxwell slammed his fourth T20I hundred, he equalled Australian batter, Josh Inglis and former captain Aaron Finch's record of achieving the three-figure mark in 47 balls. Maxwell's fourth T20 ton also brought him beside Indian captain Rohit Sharma and now both batsmen have the most centuries in the shortest international format. 

Apart from Glenn Maxwell, Indian batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad also achieved his maiden T20I ton in the match and played an innings of 123 runs from 53 balls which included a total of 13 fours and seven sixes. He also played an important role in helping India to achieve a first-inning score of 222/3. 

However. Gaikwad's innings went in vain and the Indian team lost the match courtesy of a brilliant chase from the Australian team.
