The administration problems with the Pakistan Cricket Board is nothing new and it has in many ways led to the downfall of the cricketing structure in Pakistan. Pakistan might have ended their losing streak at home against England this month, but this victory doesn't cover the cracks that run deep into the administrative systems of the PCB.
Former Australia player and now Pakistan's Head Coach across all formats Jason Gillespie had earlier revealed that he was asked not to participate in the selection decisions. Now, a Head Coach, not being taken into consideration before team selection calls can only happen in Pakistan and this is the testament to how their cricketing affairs.

In an interesting turn of events, Gary Kirsten recently stepped down as Pakistan's white-ball Head Coach. What was appalling was the fact that Kirsten did not even coach Pakistan in any ODI so far. The turmoil in the Pakistan Cricket Board and the persisting interference of the management in the team affairs is believed to be the reason behind Gary's decision. In the midst of all the controversy, Harbhajan Singh's tweet on Instagram has gone viral, where he had categorically asked Kirsten not to waste time in Pakistan.

PCB Humiliates Shaheen Afridi And Fakhar Zaman
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced their central contracts for 2024-25. Interestingly, their star pace bowler Shaheen Afridi was demoted to Grade B from Grade A. Fakhar Zaman on the other hand hasn't been handed a central contract as he had openly criticized the PCB for dropping Babar Azam from Pakistan's Test squad that was to face England earlier this month.
