PM Modi Meets Team India
The original plan for Rohit and Co. to reach India was on July 30, 2024, but Hurricane Beryl halted it for a few days. Four days after winning the coveted T20 trophy, the 'Men in Blue' arrived in the Indian subcontinent and Delhi warmly welcomed them with a rousing reception. The Indian cricket team then left for 7 Lok Kalyan Marg to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The players then had breakfast and grouped up for quick pictures, after which they left for Mumbai.
India's Iconic Victory At Barbados
India created history in the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The 'Men in Blue' made the entire nation proud by winning the coveted T20 silverware by defeating South Africa in the finals. India are now only the third team after England (2010 & 2022) and West Indies (2012 & 2016) to win the T20 World Cup for the second time. Not just India, this victory also marks a special milestone for Rohit Sharma. Rohit is the only cricketer to win the T20 World Cup as a player and as a skipper.
