India's all-rounder Hardik Pandya shared a picture of himself along with the daughter of one of the best cricketers in the world and said that he missed both of them. Hardik Pandya, who has been out of action for over two months with a lower back injury, took to social media to post a picture of himself with former skipper MS Dhoni and his daughter Ziva and said that he missed the 'little one' and the 'big guy'. Hardik Pandya is not expected to return to action for at least another three months owing to his injury while MS Dhoni, who was last seen at the World Cup, has made himself unavailable until the end of November.

Hardik Pandya's Surgery

Hardik Pandya successfully underwent surgery for his lower-back injury last week. The Indian all-rounder was injured during the Asia Cup in UAE last year. However, Hardik Pandya recovered in time to play the 12th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England. The injury once again resurfaced after India’s home T20I series against South Africa last month. Hardik Pandya traveled to London earlier this month with Team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar.

Hardik Pandya post World Cup 2019

Hardik Pandya got a much-deserved break after ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 where India had finished as the semi-finalists. He did not take part in India's successful Caribbean tour that had succeeded in the quadrennial event. Pandya made his comeback in the three-match T20I series against South Africa last month. Nonetheless, he could not make much of an impact as he could only manage two wickets and 14 runs in the two matches that he had played as the series was tied at 1-1 with one match being washed out. The Baroda all-rounder is expected to stay out of cricketing action for a minimum of 12-16 weeks. He is likely to be declared match-fit before the thirteenth edition of IPL next year.

Sourav Ganguly on MS Dhoni

The new BCCI President responded to a question on MS Dhoni's retirement and said that it was the wicketkeeper-batsman's call to make. Citing his own example, Sourav Ganguly narrated how he was left out of the team but staged a comeback while everyone counted him out and continued to play for four years after that. Hailing MS Dhoni as a 'champion', Sourav Ganguly said that India was very proud to have a cricketer like MS Dhoni and that champions did not finish quickly. Sourav Ganguly said that he did not know about MS Dhoni's future plans and called him one of the greats of the game.

" If you sit down and take note MS Dhoni's achievements, you will say wow! it is MS Dhoni. Till I am around everybody will be respected, that doesn't change", said Sourav Ganguly.
