Hardik Pandya's Surgery
Hardik Pandya successfully underwent surgery for his lower-back injury last week. The Indian all-rounder was injured during the Asia Cup in UAE last year. However, Hardik Pandya recovered in time to play the 12th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England. The injury once again resurfaced after India’s home T20I series against South Africa last month. Hardik Pandya traveled to London earlier this month with Team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar.

Hardik Pandya post World Cup 2019
Hardik Pandya got a much-deserved break after ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 where India had finished as the semi-finalists. He did not take part in India's successful Caribbean tour that had succeeded in the quadrennial event. Pandya made his comeback in the three-match T20I series against South Africa last month. Nonetheless, he could not make much of an impact as he could only manage two wickets and 14 runs in the two matches that he had played as the series was tied at 1-1 with one match being washed out. The Baroda all-rounder is expected to stay out of cricketing action for a minimum of 12-16 weeks. He is likely to be declared match-fit before the thirteenth edition of IPL next year.
