Hardik Pandya who successfully underwent surgery in London for treating his lower-back injury thanked Nita Ambani for meeting him and encouraging him. The chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani was present in London as she addressed the Business Sports Summit take took place on October 8.

Pandya, posted a picture with Ambani on Instagram as expressed his gratitude on her 'humble gesture'.

Hardik Pandya's Surgery

Hardik Pandya successfully underwent surgery for his lower-back injury last week. The Indian all-rounder was injured during during the Asia Cup in UAE last year. However, Hardik Pandya recovered in time to play the 12th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England. The injury once again resurfaced after India’s home T20I series against South Africa last month. Pandya traveled to London earlier this month with Team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar. The Baroda all-rounder is expected to stay out of cricketing action for a minimum of 12-16 weeks. He is likely to be declared match-fit before the thirteenth edition of IPL next year.

Nita Ambani at the Business Sports Summit, London

Nita Ambani, owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians, on October 8, addressed the Business Sports Summit and delivered a keynote speech 'Inspiring A Billion Dreams: The India Opportunity', at the Leaders Week 2019 in London. Being a sports fanatic, Nita Ambani highlighted the audacious aspirations of sports in India. She said that Sport was a great teacher and that it was a magical equaliser and in a young country like India. "The aspirations are so audacious, the adrenalin so high and appetite to achieve so strong that if you can just guide and steer our in the right direction, they will script the most stunning success stories the world has ever seen."
