Harmanpreet Kaur cuts out frustrated figure after IND vs BAN 3rd ODI ended in tie
As both teams were one apiece in the series, the 3rd ODI was the decider and it turned out to be a thrilling encounter. Courtesy of Fargana Hoque's century innings, Bangladesh put on 225 on the board. In reply, India had a shaky start, but soon Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol steadied things for the team. However, a collapse emanated as India were approaching the target and in the end, ran out of batters to score the final run.
The match became a bearer of controversy as India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was furious with the umpire Tanveer Ahmad's decision. In a show of disapproval, she smashed the stumps after being given out. She later argued with the on-field official as well and hence she is certain to get penalised for her conduct.

Harmanpreet's conduct could inflict repurcussions to Team India
A two-match banishment is expected to be inflicted, which would mean, Harmanpreet will not be able to play the next two matches. Notably, India's upcoming matches will fall in the Asian Games 2023, scheduled to start on September 23, 2023, in Hangzhou. Based on India's rankings in T20s, the team has already qualified for the quarterfinal stage in the tournament. Thus, a two-match ban would mean that India would play the quarter final, and if advance, the semi-final as well without their skipper. Kaur will directly participate in the final of the continental mayhem.
