Harsha Bhogle reads between lines of Virat Kohli's huge double-century

Harsha Bhogle took to Twitter to praise Virat Kohli for ending his century drought and scoring a double century. He also pointed out an interesting aspect.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli continued to break records as he reached his double century on Day two of second Test match against South Africa on Friday. Virat scored an unbeaten 254 before India declared ir innings with a mammoth score of 601-5. Kohli ended his century drought in longest format of game and scored his first century of 2019. Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle admired Virat Kohli’s glorious innings and also pointed out an interesting aspect of Virat’s gameplay. Taking to Twitter, Bhogle pointed out that Virat Kohli reached milestone of 200 runs without hitting a single six in his innings until that point.

Harsha Bhogle also mentioned fact that Virat Kohli has w scored more double hundreds than any or Indian batsman surpassing Sachin Tendulkar. Virat Kohli also achieved  milestone of scoring 7000 runs in Test cricket overtaking many cricketing legends on his way in his 50th Test match as captain of Indian team.

India's domination on Day two

Resuming his innings on Day two, skipper Virat Kohli played a magnificent kck en route to 250 runs and received good support from Ravindra Jadeja on or end. Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 59 runs following which Indian skipper stepped on accelerator and quickly went from scoring a 100 to a 200 and finally a 250 which included 33 fours and two sixes. On or hand, Ravindra Jadeja narrowly missed out on his century by just nine runs as he fell prey to South Africa's Senuran Muthuswamy. Skipper Virat Kohli was hailed as a selfless skipper by fans for declaring innings at fall of Jadeja's wicket instead of pursuing his maiden score of 300 runs as re were still 18 overs left for day. Virat Kohli's latest kck take his Test tally to 7054 runs, averaging 55.11 with seven double-hundreds to his name. Virat Kohli also broke Australian legend Don Bradman's record of scoring most number of 150-run kcks as a captain as he registered ninth 150-run score of his career as opposed to Bradman's eight.
