Harsha Bhogle shellshocked at South Africa's fall; turns back clock

As the Indian team has forced South Africa to follow-on for the second time in a row, cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle expressed his dismay over the visitors' performance.

Bhogle took to Twitter and stated his admiration for the Proteas over the years, and in that context, termed South Africa's performance as 'inexplicable'.

This is the second time in a three-match Test series that South Africa will have to bat for the second consecutive innings. Prior to Ranchi, the same situation happened for the visiting team South Africa in the Pune Test match.

South Africa reeling at 26/4 at Day 3 post a follow-on

India continued to pile misery on the visitors as they enforced follow-on over South Africa after bundling them out for 162 runs in the first innings on Day three. Even as South Africa was sent out to bat for the second time, they lost early wickets.

First one to go for the Proteas was Quinton de Kock, who was dismissed by Umesh Yadav in the second over. Mohammad Shami then wreaked havoc and Zubayr Hamza out with Faf du Plessis and Temba Bavuma following in no time. The visitors went to tea at 26/4 and are trailing by 309 runs.

Umesh Yadav's Unplayable Bouncer

Umesh Yadav has been having an excellent outing in the ongoing Test match at Ranchi. First, he stood out with the bat in hand by playing a stellar cameo of a 10-ball 31 which included five sixes. Out of those five, two off them had come off consecutive deliveries. Coincidentally, it was the same bowler who was at the receiving end of Umesh's explosive batting. Meanwhile, Yadav also had a splendid day with the ball as well as he sent Quinton de Kock back to the pavilion.
