An open "nexus" between two powerful state associations existed for the last 10 years in BCCI. Their 'might' may have been seriously "curtailed" by the Supreme Court orders but their willingness to 'collude' refuses to die down till this date. So much has been this unison (some prefer the word "sycophancy") that their language remains the same and in this case - it's "congruent."

Power Nexus

After N Srinivasan controlled (and her daughter Rupa led) Tamil Nadu Cricket Association shot off a letter to CoA demanding the withdrawal of show cause notice slapped on them, Anirudh Chaudhary controlled Haryana Cricket Association trod the same path, style and chose same words. The similarity between the two letters is so stark, that one just needs to put "Haryana" in place of "Tamil Nadu and you have a fresh letter ready. BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary, a close aide and a loyalist of former Board president N Srinivasan, followed his footstep and challenged the authority of Committee of Administrators in a similar fashion demanding the withdrawal of the show cause notice issued to them.

In the letter, just like TNCA, the HCA states: "How CoA is determining if their constitution is in line with the order of the apex court? It is submitted that the CoA does not have any authority to determine as to whether the amendments carried out by the state (Haryana) to its Memorandum and Rules and Regulation, in accordance with the direction issued by the Supreme Court in its 9th August Judgment, are in compliance with the direction issued in the said judgment. It is further pertinent to note that no authority whatsoever has been given to the CoA to take any action against any non-compliant association. The judgment itself provides for the consequences of noncompliance and there is nothing for the CoA to do in such cases."
