Hashim Amla: Surrey Kolpak deal for the former South Africa cricketer
Surrey is all set to sign Hashim Amla on a two year Kolpak deal. Amla had announced his retirement in August after a misreable run at the ICC World Cup 2019.

Hashim Amla, who bid ieu to international cricket a couple of months ago, is all set to sign for Surrey on a Kolpak deal. According to reports, former South African opener has agreed to a sign a two-year contract with club. re is a possibility of a -deal Brexit which might close future Kolpak registrations in county cricket. So, team manment at Surrey is trying to wrap deal before end of this week and well ahe of this month to make sure re is hindrance in deal. According to sources, representatives of 36-year-old batsman also h a talk with officials at Middlesex and Hampshire.

While Surrey is likely to receive some flak for signing a second Kolpak registration, y have services of lanky South African pacer Morne Morkel who is a crucial part of ir side. But y would argue that y are trying to make up for loss of ir star players who are scheduled to be on international duty.

Rory Burns, Sam Curran, Ollie Pope could all be gone for long periods for next few seasons, So Amla has been signed to play role of a senior player which was fulfilled by former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara during last few years of his cricketing career.
Hashim Amla's International Career
Hashim Amla represented South Africa at top level for almost 15 years. He is only South African to have scored a triple century in Tests. Amla went on to score 9,282 runs in 124 Tests for South Africa at an aver of 46.41. He also represented Proteas in 181 ODIs and scored 8,113 at an impressive aver of 49.46.
