'He just wants to..': Ex-India player has a very peculiar observation about Virat Kohli

Sanjay Manjrekar opens up on similarities between Sachin Tendulkar and Kohli

In a recent interview with Vimal Kumar, former Indian cricket team batsman Sanjay Manjrekar highlighted the similarities between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Sanjay feels that Kohli is not hungry for power and leadership and just wants to enjoy cricket like Sachin. Sanjay Manjrekar said: 

He just wants to play and it looks like he enjoys being a part of the team. He captained the team for a very long time, so there is no scope for an unfulfilled dream. Being with the team, travelling with players, going to the ground, and being part of winning moments are more important to him than having power. 

Sanjay Manjrekar's predicts Virat Kohli's chances to break Sachin's record 

Sanjay Manjrekar further opened up on Virat Kohli's chances to break Sachin Tendulkar's massive record of scoring 51 Test centuries. Tendulkar has scored a total of 51 Test tons, whereas, Virat is currently sitting on 29 Test tons. Manjrekar believes that Kohli will find difficulty in breaking Sachin's most Test centuries record. Sanjay Manjrekar said: 

Sachin Tendulkar has 51 hundreds, 17 more than what Sunil Gavaskar finished with. For a good player, accumulating runs in ODIs is comparatively easy, as bowlers don't always try to take a wicket. Tendulkar and Kohli are special because they also have a lot of Test hundreds. However, I believe it will be very difficult for Kohli to reach 51 Test centuries.
