‘He Won’t Go to Australia’: BCCI Official Utters a Bold Remark on Shreyas Iyer After Domestic Mishap
As per BCCI sources, Shreyas Iyer must be in peak condition. Furthermore, if he does not perform well, he may not be selected for the India's tour to Australia.

The Team India middle-order batter hasn't found a proper spot since the BCCI did not hand him the central contract extension. No Spot for Shreyas Iyer in Tests? BCCI Sources Offer Concerning Update on India Batter
Anonymous BCCI Sources spoke to Telegraph India regarding Shreyas Iyer's situation amid the Duleep Trophy fiasco. The India D skipper has failed to impress as he could not contribute in terms of runs. Sources claimed that Iyer could be a part of the MCA during the Irani Cup tournament in Lucknow, and if he is not picked for the Bangladesh T20Is, he would continue his run in the domestic tournament and become available from the 2nd T20I match. But another BCCI source said that the batter needs to be in form. Moreover, if he did not do well in the Irani Cup, he may not be selected for the trip down under.
“Now, if he doesn’t fire in Irani too, he still has the Ranji Trophy to get runs. It wasn’t too many days ago when he was batting so well in last year’s ODI World Cup . He suffered an injury too, which needs to be considered.
“Also, with still one round left in Duleep, you never know he might score a hundred. He needs to regain form. Most likely he won’t go to Australia for his problems against the short ball, but one can’t just ignore his runs at home,” the BCCI source said.
