Head coach Brendon McCullum vows KKR will be 'very competitive' in upcoming IPL 2021

Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Brendon McCullum has vowed that former champions will be very competitive in 14th edition of IPL. KKR have retained most of ir players from previous edition for IPL 2021.

Taking to micro-blogging site, 'Bazz' wrote he is pleased to kw that Kolkata team manment has been able to retain majority of ir players for upcoming season of IPL. former New Zealand skipper n added that y were t far away last time and is sure that this group will be very competitive this season.

At same time, explosive Kiwi batsman also expressed gratitude to players who have been released for serving franchise as well as for efforts that y had put in last season and n wished m all luck for ir future endeavours.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) retained as many as 17 cricketers from ir squad that featured in Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) season. While franchise CEO Venky Mysore defended ir plans of retaining a majority of players from ir “core group”, several of ir fans seem to disagree with ir decision. Mysore said that y are “extremely happy to retain” most of players from ir squad and y are excited about ir prospects for upcoming IPL 2021 season.
