Here's how ICC paid a special tribute to The Beatles on the 50th anniversary of 'Abbey Road'

The Beatles is one of the iconic bands in the music industry especially in the genre of rock and pop music. They dominated in the '60s and '70s during which the band was in its prime. Even today, it seems like they find a special place in the hearts of the music-lovers all over the world. In case if you are wondering why The Beatles is being talked about as now, there is a big reason behind it. 

Abbey Road turns 50

One of the biggest chartbusters of the band named 'Abbey Road'  had celebrated its golden jubilee i.e. the 50th anniversary on Thursday. As per reports, the band was pictured striding across the street the album was named after. The photograph was on 8 August 1969. This was the 11th studio album of The Beatles and that famous zebra crossing has grabbed a lot of attention since the last five decades after its release where the lead singer John Lennon leads the way as Sir Ringo Starr, Sir Paul McCartney, and George Harrison follow him.

ICC's special tribute to The Beatles 

It seems that even the International Cricket Council (ICC) is a big fan of John Lennon & Co. The governing body of world cricket came forward to pay a special tribute to the band on social media by posting a picture of Australia's former legendary pacers Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee, Jason Gillespie, and Michael Kasprowicz. At the same time, they also asked 'So you're saying it's been 50 years?' Take a look.

ICC had earlier posted a picture of Virat Kohli, Aaron Finch, Kane Williamson and Eoin Morgan walking on Abbey Road with Kohli leading the way last month after the four semi-finalists of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 were decided.
