'His job is not to coach': Gautam Gambhir's Role As Head Coach Explained By EX-BCCI Chief Selector
A former chief selector has paid heed to the role of Gautam Gambhir as head coach of Team India and made it known that it is going to be a complex job.

Ever since he has been appointed as new he coach of Team India, flow of opinions regarding what Gautam Gambhir could instill in team, hasn't stopped. space has got even thicker as a former chief selector has paid heed to subject and opined on role of Gautam Gambhir as coach of India, hinting that it is not going to be as simple as it appears on surface. As holder of position, Gambhir mitted that he is filling in big shoes and would target glory with Team India.

Gautam Gambhir's Role As He Coach Explained By Former Chief Selector
Gautam Gambhir’s key task as India he coach will be man-management and not coaching a bunch of talented players in ir respective skills, said former player and ex-chief selector Sandeep Patil on Friday. Gambhir is set to start his tenure with a limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka comprising three T20Is and as many ODIs, with first game in shortest format set to be played on Saturday.
"I don't think his job is to coach Indian team. His job is to help Indian team,” Patil told PTI Videos in an exclusive interview here.

“That's how it works at top level. You need player management. That will be challenge for Gambhir.” “He has done it and I am sure he will continue to do same with Indian cricket team," said Patil on sidelines of an event organised by Shrachi Rajasthan Tigers.
Patil, a member of India’s World Cup winning team in 1983, hoped Gambhir will continue to have success at international level after excelling in IPL.

"Gambhir h done an exceptional job as a coach for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. I hope that he continues to help Indian team in same way,” he ded.
