Ashwin painted his memories of India's T20 World Cup win in one of his videos on his YouTube Channel. He also pointed out the moment which particularly stood out for him. It was when Team India was celebrating with the title and Rahul Dravid passionately grasped the silverware, hugged it, and wept.

"My moment was when Virat Kohli called Rahul Dravid and gave him the cup. I saw him hug the cup and cry. Rahul Dravid screamed and cried. I saw him enjoy it. I felt that a lot. I want to talk about a person who is sacred.

"In 2007, during the 50-over World Cup, India got knocked out. Rahul Dravid was the captain at that time. He didn't captain the one-day side after that. He has been with the Indian team," Ashwin said on his YouTube channel.

Team India, under Rohit Sharma's captaincy and Rahul Dravid's mentorship, was able to break the 11-year title drought. It was also the last of Rahul Dravid as his coaching tenure ended after the T20 World Cup. The outgoing coach was able to end his run on the highest note possible as bringing back the glory is not an easy feat.

Team India will embark on a new era as the reign of Head Coach Gautam Gambhir officially commences as the Men Iin Blue reach Sri Lanka to take part in a white-ball series beginning from July 27th 2024, in Pallekele, Sri Lanka.
