ICC goofs up: States Dravid as a 'Left-Handed' Batsman on its website
On Friday, the International Cricket Council made a major goof-up as it listed former Indian Cricket captain Rahul Dravid as a left-handed batsman on website.

On Friday, International Cricket Council (ICC) made a major goof-up as it listed former Indian Cricket Team captain Rahul Dravid as a left-handed batsman instead of right-handed in ir Hall of Fame p on ir website. Rahul Dravid, who was a right-handed batsman, retired from international cricket in March 2012. He was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame in 2018 along with Australia legend Ricky Ponting and England women's stalwart Claire Taylor during ICC Annual Conference in Dublin in July 2018.

ICC Wrongly States Dravid as Left-Handed on Website
In Dravid's section on ICC official website, his batting style was stated as 'Left-Handed.' This received major flak from netizens on social media. Dravid, who became fifth Indian to be inducted into ICC Hall Of Fame received his commemorative cap from fellow ICC Hall of Fame inductee and former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar before start of fifth and final ODI between India and West Indies at Thiruvananthapuram last year. Dravid was formally inducted into Hall of Fame on vember 1, 2018. Bishen Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Anil Kumble are only Indian cricketers apart from him to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame.

' Wall' of Indian Cricket
Throughout his career, Rahul Dravid played 164 Tests and 344 ODIs for India and scored a total of 24,177 runs across two formats. Also kwn as ' Wall,' Dravid was widely praised for being most dependable player of Indian cricket team. Currently, Rahul Dravid serves as Overseas Batting Consultant for Indian Cricket Team, and also as Head of Cricket Operations at National Cricket Academy (NCA). Dravid has also been houred with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan award.
