ICC Champions Trophy 2025: re is a three-way face-off between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC) over Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan are official hosts of ICC Champions Trophy and preparations are in full swing in country despite all security issues. India travelling to Pakistan for ICC event was never on cards, but it is ICC, whose future course of action is under scanner.

BCCI h officially written to ICC about ir reluctancy to play in Pakistan. ICC without wasting any team notified PCB about same. ICC h also proposed a hybrid model for tournament, but PCB denied it straightaway. re is complete rio silence over ICC's stand with tournament just three months away. Pakistan government has asked for a written explanation from BCCI listing out ir reasons for not travelling to Pakistan.

India pulling out of Champions Trophy will create a huge financial turmoil for ICC and PCB. India is biggest attraction in any ICC event and apex global cricketing body might not risk of conducting such a big event without 'Men in Blue' playing. But, if situation demands, India and Pakistan both stand ir ground firmly and ICC goes ahe with Champions Trophy, n it will be a win win situation for Sri Lanka.

ICC finds itself in hot waters after India's refusal and Pakistan's firm stance on Champions Trophy. An official schedule was expected to be announced on November 11, 2024 but that hasn't happened due to obvious reasons. BCCI h reportedly suggested ICC that India play ir matches in UAE, but PCB has strongly opposed  this idea. Several reports emerged that South Africa and India expressed ir interests of hosting Champions Trophy, but re is no official word on it yet.
