ICC pays unique tribute to Kiwi great Brendon McCullum on his birthday
ICC paid a unique tribute to former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum on his birthday as they took to its social media handle to highlight his achievements.

Regarded as one of world's best and explosive batsman, Brendon McCullum played a key role in guiding New Zealand to finals in 2015 World Cup and in also shaping future of Black Caps team. Kiwi batsman has shattered many records during his 13-year-long career and has entertained fans like or cricketer has. Brendon McCullum was recently appointed as he coach of Indian Premier League side Kolkata Knight Riders.

Brendon McCullum was widely regarded as most fearless batsman who took on all bowlers irrespective of whichever format of game that was being played. On his birthday, ICC took to social media to share some of milestones of McCullum's career. Kiwi star also lit up proceedings in opening game of Indian Premier League as he smashed 158 runs in opening game for Kolkata Knight Riders, a feat that is still etched in memories of Indian fans. In New Zealand's 3rd match of 2015 Cricket World Cup, McCullum scored 77 runs of 25 balls recording fastest fifty in world cup history (51 runs off 18 balls), and 3rd fastest fifty in ODI history. Bazz's cricketing legacy
Brendon McCullum h recently hung up his boots from all forms cricket. He h retired from international cricket back in early 2016. He has represented New Zealand in 101 Tests, 260 ODIs and 71 T20Is. He h anunced his retirement from international cricket back in early 2016. neless, he continued to play franchise cricket. He h played his last IPL in 2018 for Royal Challengers Bangalore. 37-year-old h also called it a day from Big Bash League (BBL) earlier this year where he was representing Brisbane Heat. McCullum h also led New Zealand to ir maiden World Cup final in 2015 which was co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. y finished as runners-up after Aussies h completely outplayed m in a lop-sided contest. Opening innings, Bazz was castled by Mitchell Starc in very first over and arguably it sealed New Zealand's fate in that summit clash.
