ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023: How teams can reach semifinals?
The Cricket World Cup 2023 will follow a similar format to the 2019 edition. In this tournament, all 10 participating teams will face each other once in a round-robin competition. Following this initial stage, the top four teams in the points table will advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.
The team that secures the first-place position at the end of the round-robin phase will face the fourth-placed team in the first semi-final on November 15, while the second and third-placed teams will square off in the second semi-final on November 16. Ultimately, the winners of these semi-final games will compete in the grand finale, scheduled for November 19.

To secure a spot in the semi-finals, your team would typically aim to achieve a minimum of seven victories out of nine matches, based on the standards set during the 2019 edition. For instance, both India and Australia advanced to the top two positions with seven wins (India lost just one match while another game was washed out by rain) in the previous tournament.
However, in the absence of significant weather disruptions, a team with six wins could find itself in a somewhat uncertain position, teetering on the edge of qualification. In the previous edition, England qualified for the final with six wins and ultimately won the tournament. New Zealand made it to the final after just five victories in the 2019 World Cup.
