Team India w need only two wins to qualify for final of inaugural edition of ICC World Test Championship after three-match Test series between Australia and South Africa that was originally scheduled to be held in March has been postponed indefinitely.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have become first team to qualify for final and it remains to be seen wher India will join m after upcoming four-match home Test series against England. summit clash of WTC will be contested at 'Mecca of Cricket' Lord's from June 18-22.

India w has 430 points while New Zealand, holding second spot, has 420 points on table. Sitting in third position, Australia has 332 points.

Australia was docked four points for slow over-rate in MCG test, if this reduction did t take place, Australia would be ahe of NZ on percent. team will w depend on or results for ir spot in finals.

India and England are or sides in contention to make WTC final. Virat Kohli-led side will have to win at least two Tests against England without losing or two matches. On or hand, England needs to win at least win three Tests against India.

Australia tour of South Africa postponed

In an official statement released by Cricket Australia, governing body confirmed postponement of ir three-match Test tour to 'Rainbow Nation'. statement mentioned that travelling from Australia to South Africa in current situation was an unacceptable level of health and safety risk to ir players, support staff, and community. South Africa has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases, including a second wave and emergence of a new strain of virus.

statement also ackwledged significant amount of work by CSA in planning for tour and revealed that Cricket Australia were prepared to take on ditional cost and effort to make series happen. release also mentioned that board was extremely disappointed to have arrived at decision, especially given importance of continuing international cricket at this time, our valued relationship with Cricket South Africa (CSA) .
