Lord's To Host WTC 2025 Final

For the third occasion straight, the WTC Final will be held in England. The WTC 2021 Final took place at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. The Oval was entrusted with the duties in 2023, and now it is the turn of the Mecca of cricket, Lord's to script history. Team India was the finalist on both occasions, but lost the title to New Zealand in 2021 and to Australia in 2023.

As per the current standings, the Rohit Sharma-led team is leading once again and may complete the 3-peat. However, this time they would leave no stone unturned to get hold of the eminent Test maze.

Is Lord's Lucky For Team India?

The Lord's is the ground where the Indian team announced itself to the international stage. Kapil Dev's men who won the 1983 World Cup, defeated West Indies in the final at Lord's. Thus, this is where the cricking giants of today ascended. Moreover, who can forget the iconic victory in the NatWest 2002 final when Mohammed Kaif and Yuvraj Singh manufactured a magical partnership that helped India pull off a famous win. India's most recent popular visit to the Lord's came during the 2021 Test series, where Virat Kohli's team left England in dire straits by digging a victory out of a lost game. Among the moments of glory, there have been some contests to forget as well that transpired at the Lord's. Rahul Dravid's team had to endure a loss in the NatWest Final when the score-line was 3-3 in the 7-match series. Should India make it to the final, Lod's could once again go down as an incredible chapter in the history of Indian cricket.
