In previous T20I match against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma scored only nine runs but was able to surpass Virat Kohli to become highest run-scorer in shortest format. Rohit holds record of most T20I runs with 2452 runs from 91 innings striking at 137. India lost first T20I of three-match series by seven wickets as Bangladesh registered ir first-ever win against ir Asian rivals. India will eye to win second game at Rajkot to level series. In same match, Sharma also surpassed MS Dhoni to become most capped Indian cricketer in T20I. w, going into second T20I, Indian opener is expected to mark ar major milestone.

IND vs BAN: Rohit Sharma's upcoming major milestone

right-hand batsman is currently leading Indian team and will become first Indian cricketer to feature in hundred T20 International matches. only cricketer who has played more than 100 T20 International matches is Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik. After his appearance in second T20I, Sharma will become second cricketer to play in 100 T20 International matches. After first T20I, Sharma is tied with former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on second in list of most appearances in T20Is overall.

Rohit Sharma has been at his peak form this year. After top-scoring in 2019 ICC World Cup with 648 runs, he made his debut as an opener for India in Test cricket during recent series against South Africa. He ended up scoring 529 runs in series, which included a maiden Test double hundred.
