The third India vs Bangladesh T20I which was played on November 10, turned out to be a treat for Indian fans. The match which was supposed to decide the hard-fought series ended up favouring the Indians as Deepak Chahar and Shivam Dube rose to the occasion and saved the game for the Men in Blue. The fastest Indian to fifty T20I wickets

Chahal, who was playing his 34th T20 International, took his 50th T20I wicket on the fifth ball of the 17th over when he took out Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah's stumps. This made Chahal the fastest Indian to get to this landmark in T20I cricket. He is also the fifth-fastest in the world. He became the third Indian bowler to achieve this feat and is only preceded by veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

A thrilling contest for Team India

After Mahmudullah won the toss and made the Indians bat first, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer stood up for the team, scoring 52 and 62 respectively. On the back of their scores and a short cameo from Manish Pandey, India got to a very competitive 174 in their 20 overs. It was now up to the bowlers to defend this score.

During the Bangladesh innings, opener Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar got out cheaply to Deepak Chahar but 20-year-old Mohammad Naim and Mohammad Mithun stitched together a 98-run partnership which brought Bangladesh back into the game. But in the 13th over, Deepak Chahar applied the brakes on the Bangladesh innings by sending Mohammad Mithun back to the pavilion. The Indians kept striking consistently and Deepak Chahar ended the match by picking up a hat-trick – the first Indian to do so. Chahar ended with figures of 6/7, the best-ever in T20I cricket. Shivam Dube also took three wickets while Chahal took one. And in this fashion, India clinched the victory and took home the trophy.
