South Africa all out for 162

In ar dismal batting performance, South Africa were shot-out for 162 inside 60 overs to hand India a solid 335-run first-innings le. Resuming second session at 129-6, resistance was provided by lower-order as Proteas could only man to d ar 33 runs to ir total. Umesh Yav was pick of bowlers as pacer picked 3-40 in 9 overs.

Captain Kohli decides to enforce follow-on

With a le of 335 to defend, Team India decided to enforce follow-on to visitors. It was second time that Indian team forced South Africa to bat again in series. In second Test in Pune, World 1 Test side also enforced follow-on after gaining a huge 326-run le. Indian team went on to win that Test match by an innings and 137 runs and will be eying ar innings victory to make it a 3-0 series win.

Mohammed Shami’s second innings opening spell

right-arm pacer rocked visitors top-order once again to leave South Africa tottering at 26-4 at tea on day three. Shami cleaned-up Zubayr Hamza for a duck before trapping skipper Faf du Plessis plumb in front. 29-year old n dismissed Temba Bavuma for a duck just before break to leave South Africa tottering at 22-4. Before both teams departed for tea break, Shami’s figures re 5-2-7-3.
