Virat Kohli responds to Dean Elgar's sledging attempt in style

During the ongoing clash between India and South Africa at Cape Town, Virat Kohli, the Indian batter, once again exhibited his tendency to remember on-field incidents. In the final over before the tea break on Day 1 of the second Test, Kohli was struck on the front pad by a delivery from Marco Jansen coming from around the stumps. 

Despite the Proteas appealing, the on-field umpire dismissed it, likely believing the ball was going over the stumps. South Africa's stand-in captain Dean Elgar then came to Kohli and said something, apparently attempting to sledge the former India skipper. Virat Kohli took the opportunity to remind Elgar of a similar incident that occurred during the 2021 Test match at the same venue.

Virat Kohli: Oh please this was much higher than what you got from Ash in 2021

Virat Kohli was eventually dismissed by Kagiso Rabada for 46 runs. India lost four quick wickets in a span of just two overs. Lungi Ngidi did the job for the home side as he picked up three wickets in a single over.
