The Indian side has dominated South Africa once again as after scoring 497 in the first innings, they have made the Proteas fall to 162/8 in their first innings. Four wickets on debut
After not being too effective on the first day, Linde started gaining some momentum on the second day where he got the important wicket of Ajinkya Rahane who was on 115 and Ravindra Jadeja on 51. He later bowled out Wriddhiman Saha, who was batting on 24. His final wicket came when he got Umesh Yadav out on 31. Yadav was going berserk before the ball he got out. He had smashed five sixes in the nine balls he had faced before he got out on the tenth one. Linde's final figures stood as 4-133 at an run rate of 4.29. Linde also had two maidens in his spell.

About George Linde
Linde, who is 27, is making his Test debut in this match. On Sunday, he spoke about how focusing on his line made him more successful in getting important wickets for his team. This is Linde's first International match for South Africa. He has played for the Cape Town Blitz in the Mzansi Super League since the 2018 season. He was also a part of the T20I squad that SA was fielding against India in September but could not become a part of the playing XI. Linde has 160 wickets in the 45 first-class matches he has played. He can also make a good bowling all-rounder as he has a high score of 103* in first-class cricket along with nine fifties.
