In a column written for a leading media publication, Gautam Gambhir said that he was once again disappointed by way critics went after Virat Kohli and his men after 2-0 Test series loss against New Zealand. In his column, Gautam Gambhir wrote he was disappointed about how everything was questioned, right from team selections, atmosphere in dressing room, Jasprit Bumrah’s sharpness, or lack of it, and even Virat Kohli’s eyesight. He felt that in absence of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, dependency on Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane was way too much, and in end, it was conditions that proved challenging.
