South Africa's Zubayr Hamza brought up his maiden Test half-century on Day three as visitors slowly recovered from an early strike by India. Resuming day on 9-2, South Africa lost skipper Faf DuPlessis in fourth ball of first over for just one run. Zubayr Hamza along with Temba Bavuma has played a slow yet patient kck as y got scoreboard ticking with ir 50-run partnership. Zubayr Hamza's fifty came off 56 deliveries with eight fours and one six. Zubayr Hamza got to his half-century in style with a six.

Bavuma h come out to middle when visitors were in a spot of bor at 16/3. He was n involved in a 91-run stand for fourth wicket along with Zubayr Hamza and just when it looked like Proteas h gained momentum, y once again lost it as both set batsmen were dismissed in quick intervals. However, it was Bavuma's wicket that stood out. It happened in 29th over bowled by Shahbaz Neem. On second delivery, Neem landed ball around middle and leg which tempted Bavuma to come down track to defend as ball turned away and he missed it completely while Saha me mistake behind stumps in whipping off bails.
