The South African team was off to a torrid start in the ongoing Test as the Indian openers smashed them all over the park on Day 1 and Day 2. After a breath-taking opening stand of 317 runs, Mayank Agarwal went onto convert his maiden Test century into a double ton as Team India declared at 502-7. The visitors lost three quick wickets at the end of Day 2 to be left reeling at 39-3. However, some late resurgence from South Africa’s lower order and sparkling centuries by Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock ensured the visitors avoid follow-on and end Day 3 at 385-8.
