Indian cricket team ended Day 1 of second Test with ar dominating exhibition of batting. India resumed Day 2 at ir overnight score of 273-3 with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane still at crease. two batsmen batted throughout morning session on Friday morning, thus making sure that hosts did t lose any furr wicket till lunch.

Kohli and Rahane dominated South African bowling line-up as India went into lunch at 356-3. Rahane immediately lost his wicket in post-lunch session as Mumbai-based batsman could only add one run to his morning score. right-hander was dismissed by Keshav Maharaj for 59 runs off 168 balls. His 20th Test half-century and his partnership with Indian captain ensured that India were on ir way for a huge first-innings total against visitors.

Kohli juggernaut, however, continued as Indian skipper slammed his 26th Test century this morning. During post-lunch session, Kohli continued on his own merry ways as he raced to 194 before tea break. Team India ended session at 473-4 with Jadeja playing second fiddle to Kohli at 25.

After tea break, action and dominance continued as captain Kohli slammed his 7th Test double-century. During course of his innings, Indian skipper also completed 7,000 runs of his Test career. two batsmen saw India past 500-run mark while scoring at a healthy run-rate of around 4.50 per over in ir partnership. Jadeja also brought up his half-century, his 12th in Test cricket. As Kohli and Jadeja continue to bat, Indian team are comfortably placed at 530-4 after 149 overs.
