After Sanju Samson smacked a ton against the Proteas Men in Durban, South Africa, there were celebrations all around the dressing room as the wicketkeeper-batter relished the moment after achieving a humongous feat. Not just in Durban, but Samson's family members also revelled in the achievement. Samson's wife Charulatha Remesh's excitement was also at its peak as she expressed her emotions over the social media platform Instagram.
Charulatha Remesh took to Instagram Stories and reposted a post shared by the Rajasthan Royals on the social media platform. She posted the franchise's graphic over stories and wrote, "My forever favourite hero," over the image.

Sanju Samson's ton against South Africa was historic as he made history after becoming the first Indian cricketer and the fourth overall to score consecutive T20I tons. After the Bangladesh T20Is, Sanju made a statement with his performance and continued his form, making him an ideal fit for the Indian National T20I side. Samson's 47-ball ton was also the fastest T20I hundred for India against South Africa, with the previous best being SKY's hundred in 55 balls.

Speaking of the game, at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, South Africa, Team India defeated the Proteas Men by 61 runs in the opening T20I march of the series. With a strike rate of 214.00 and an outstanding 107-run knock that included seven fours and ten sixes, Sanju Samson was declared the Player of the Match. The Indian bowling attack did a respectable job of restricting the SA batsmen, even though Sanju was a brilliant batsman. The first game of the T20I series was won by spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, who took three wickets each to slow down the hosts' momentum.
