Ind vs SA: Tea called early as Dean Elgar gets hit on head by Umesh

Proteas' Dean Elgar was struck on the side of his head by a lethal delivery from Umesh Yadav as he had taken his eyes off the ball for a fraction of a second

Tea was called early on Day three after Dean Elgar suffered a blow to side of his he from Umesh Yav. Trailing India by 309 runs, South Africa lost Faf DuPlessis, Temba Bavuma and Zubayr Hamza in quick succession. Dean Elgar was struck on side of his he by a lethal delivery from Umesh Yav. Dean Elgar h taken his eyes off ball for a fraction of a second and was immediately floored by delivery. As team's physio rushed out to check on Dean Elgar, umpires called for Tea earlier than usual. As innings resumed after tea, it has been learnt that Dean Elgar has retired hurt and George Linde will be out to replace him.

India rattle South Africa

As India enforced follow-on for second time in this series, South Africa once again collapsed to might of Indian bowling. Mohamm Shami once again showed why he is best fourth innings bowler as he picked up three wickets in quick succession to get rid of Bavuma, DuPlessis and Hamza to put visitors in trouble. With just six wickets left, South Africa are hoping to somehow edge past India while hosts look to wrap up game as soon as possible, in order to complete 3-0 whitewash.

Umesh's lethal bouncer does trick

Quinton de Kock's b luck as a batsman continued in third Test match at Ranchi. He could only man four runs off six deliveries before being sent back by Yav's unplayable bouncer. It happened in second over of South African innings. On final delivery, Umesh Yav h bowled a short delivery on leg stump line which completely left de Kock clueless while attempting to play it as he was beaten by it completely and ball went straight into gloves of Wriddhiman Saha behind stumps.
