India are currently hosting South Africa for the third and the final Test of the series at Ranchi. South Africa are currently on 155/8 as India looks set to clean sweep the series by winning the final game. This is not the first time South Africa has struggled to score in the Indian Subcontinent. 109 at Mohali, 2015

This match which took place at the IS Bindra Stadium saw Ravindra Jadeja emerge as the Man of the Match. South Africa were  chasing a very gettable 218 in their second innings when Ravindra Jadeja struck and took five wickets. Jadeja's scalps included Vernon Philander, captain Hashim Amla, Dane Vilas, Simon Harmer, and Imran Tahir. South Africa fell for 109 in just 39.5 overs and India won the match.

105 at Ahmedabad, 1996

In another match which South Africa should have won, the Proteas were chasing 170 to win the match in the final innings. The match looked like an easy win for the South Africans but Javagal Srinath had other ideas. The pacer took six wickets in his spell, only conceding 21 runs and bowling four maidens. His wickets included opener Andrew Hudson, Daryll Cullinan, David Richardson, Jonty Rhodes, Allan Donald, and Paul Adams. SA were all out at 105 in just 38.5 overs and India won by 64 runs.

79 at Nagpur, 2015

This Test in 2015 saw India batting first but not managing to score too well. The Indians could only manage 215 runs before all ten wickets perished. South Africa came in to bat looking to solidify their grasp on the match. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja terrorised the Proteas batsman and got the whole team to fall for just 79 in just a matter of 33.1 overs. The two took 9 wickets between them. Ashwin's victims included both openers Dean Elgar, Stiaan van Zyl, captain Hashim Amla, Simon Harmer, and Morne Morkel. South Africa had to chase 310 in their second innings but could only manage 185. India won by 124 runs in a match which lasted just three days.
