Hardik Pandya led Indian cricket team finished their first innings in the 152/7 against West Indies in the second T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Indian skipper Pandya gave the team a tremendous start and removed to Windies batsmen in the first over of their chase. Hardik also played an important cameo innings of 24 runs off 18 balls which included two sixes.

Hardik Pandya achieves a unique record in the IND vs WI 2nd T20I
The stand-in T20I skipper Hardik Pandya has achieved a very unique record in second India vs West Indies T20I match. Hardik has become the first Indian cricket team to complete 4000 runs and 150 wickets in the T20 format. He achieved the monumental feat after dismissing Windies opener Brandon King for a duck off the first ball of the hosts' innings.
Hardik Pandya's magnificent T20 career
Hardik Pandya made his international debut against Australia under the captaincy of MS Dhoni in the year 2016 after his brilliant performance for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015. The Men in Blue and Gold, went on to win the title that season and Hardik played a lot of match-winning innings throughout that season.

As the years passed, Hardik's performance in the shorter format improved and he also started to become the anchor of Team India's victories. Pandya's breakthrough year in the T20 format was 2022 when he was handed over the new Indian Premier League franchise captaincy.

Hardik Pandya did something which was never expected from him and led Gujarat Titans to a maiden title IPL title win in their debut season. Pandya also led the Titans to their second consecutive tournament final but lost to the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.
Hardik Pandya has now been leading the Indian cricket team in the T20I format for quite a while now under the absence of Rohit Sharma and is often regarded as the next Indian skipper.
