IND vs ZIM 5th T20I: The Indian team led by Shubman Gill has been absolutely clinical in the ongoing five-match T20I series. After enduring a shocking defeat in the first match of the series the team has bounced back in some style and has already clinched the series. This is a transitional phase in Indian cricket with both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bidding goodbye to the shortest international format after Team India's World T20 triumph.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Creates Unique Record

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young Rajasthan Royals batter accompanied Team India trough the entire T20 World Cup but did not get a game to play. With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma opening for India in the recently concluded World T20, Jaiswal found himself on the sidelines. The youngster joined the Indian team from the third T20I of the series and has demonstrated some stellar form.

In the 4th T20I of the series, the young Mumbai batter played a scintillating knock of 93 to seal the match for India. Jaiswal's knock helped Team India to hammer Sikandar Raza's Zimbabwe by 10 wickets and win the series. In the fifth T20I too, Jaiswal started from where he had left. The youngster gave a blistering start to India in the final match of the series.

Jaiswal started off India's innings with a high and handsome six off Raza's full toss, the Sri Lankan skipper erred in the first ball of the contest as he had overstepped making it a free hit. With this Jaiswal has become the first batter in the history of cricket to score 12 runs off the first legal delivery of a match.

India All Set To Start The Gautam Gambhir Era

After the culmination of the India vs Zimbabwe T20 series, the Indian team will travel to Sri Lanka for a brief white ball series comprising of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. This series will also mark the start of the Gautam Gambhir era as the Head Coach of the Indian Team.
