Independence Day: Team India wishes all Indians, Virat Kohli hails 'most iconic day in our country's history'

On the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day, Team India have also come to wish their fans. The likes of  Rohit Sharma, Kedar Jadhav, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav and coach Ravi Shastri have conveyed their Independence Day wishes.

India celebrates its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday. It was on this day in 1947 that India finally got rid of  British rule after a long wait of over 150 years. On this day, all citizens of India come forward to t only celebrate this historic day but also to remember great leers who h sacrificed ir lives to make this a reality. While wishes are being poured from all corners, even cricketing fraternity is coming forward with ir wishes.

On occasion of 73rd Independence Day, Team India have also come to wish ir fans. likes of  Rohit Sharma, Kedar Jhav, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jeja, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yav and coach Ravi Shastri have conveyed ir Independence Day wishes to all fellow Indians. Meanwhile, skipper Kohli has termed it as 'Most iconic day in history of our country'.

India win ODI series against West Indies

West Indies won toss and elected to bat first. Chris Gayle, who was playing final match of his international career scored a quickfire 41-ball 72 a kck which helped Calypso Boys get to 240/7 in ir 35 overs in a rain-curtailed match.

In reply, India got past finish line without breaking a sweat riding on captain Kohli's unbeaten 99-ball 114. This was also his 43rd ODI ton. Thus, he was judged both Man of Match as well as series.
