India’s Shubman Gill Hits the Gym and Prepares to Tackle Bangladesh Head-on in Upcoming Test Series

Team India is all set to begin their red-ball schedule with the Bangladesh series. The BCCI has named the 15-man squad that will be locking horns with the visiting Bangla Tigers, who are running high on positivity after defeating Pakistan in Tests. The Men in Blue have also begun their efforts to train up and prepare for the big game in Chennai. Among the India stars, opener Shubman Gill has begun sweating it out in the gym to prepare for the red-ball challenge

Shubman Gill Performs High-Intensity Workouts as He Prepares for Bangladesh Challenge
Ahead of the India vs Bangladesh series, opener Shubman Gill has been putting in the effort to prepare for the much-awaited red-ball series, which will commence Team India's red-ball schedule. The opening batter has been sweating it out in the gym as he prepares for the Bangladesh series. In a video shared by GQ India, Gill could be seen training up and performing weight training with some cardio. He engaged in an arduous workout as moving ahead, Shubman would have the big role of performing in the number three spot after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli .
Shubman Gill is touted as one of the upcoming stars in the near future and he is expected to deliver big in all three formats. But in recent times, Test Cricket is the one format where he has been lagging behind. Gill also made his captaincy debut for the national side when they locked horns against Zimbabwe. They secured a 4-1 series win in Harare, and the Men in Blue's performance was supreme despite having no senior players in the side.

Shubman was a part of the Duleep Trophy domestic tournament as he led the India A side. However, his side lost to India B by a 76-run margin. He will now be a part of Team India against Bangladesh , with the first Test match taking place from September 19th, 2024.
