South Australian government continues to impose strict lockdown guidelines across state in wake of ongoing pandemic. After recent Adelaide coronavirus pandemic, state cricket board has eir relocated numerous players out of South Australia or put m into isolation. On Wednesday, vember 18, Cricket Australia continued to remain optimistic about successful launch of opening Adelaide Test between India and Australia, despite lockdown guidelines issued by South Australian government.

Steven Marshall, South Australia’s premier, recently claimed that government will be doing “absolutely everything” in ir power to stop a second wave of virus. He said that y want to have a six-day “circuit breaker” so that pandemic will t cause more pain down road for Australian public.

Several reports indicate that while Cricket Australia is still pining for opening Test at Adelaide, a change in venue could very well become a point of consideration in a few days. Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood said recently that he would be open to idea of playing at Brisbane’s Gabba ground for first Test of summer. While speaking with cricket.com.au, Hazlewood suggested that team will have problems adapting to late shift in venue.
