Shreyas handed his catch to Usman Khawaja in the 38th over after scoring 26 runs in 27 balls. India was 115/5 after 38 overs, with Cheteshwar Pujara holding one end.

India reached 111/4 in 34 overs after Shreyas Iyer hit two boundaries in the over. Iyer is batting on 25 runs off 23 balls, while Pujara is 43 off 83.

India found themselves at 79/4 in 32 overs as Tea was called on Day 2 of the India vs Australia 3rd Test.

Jadeja was dismissed in the 31st over of the third innings, as Smith quickly upstairs with the DRS call. Jadeja hit just seven runs in 36 balls.

India reached 77/3 at the end of the 30th over, with Pujara and Jadeja on the crease.

India reduced their trail behind Australia by 15 runs, as they reached 73/3 in 27 overs.

Matthew Kuhnemann  has dismissed Virat kohli LBW and Australia truely has the upper hand in the match now. It looked close but Virat kohli decided to go against DRS.

India crossed the 50-run mark in the first ball of the 22nd over. India trail behind Australia by 38 runs.

Virat Kohli hit his first boundary of the innings by scoring a four against Kuhnemann in the 19th over. India was 44/2 in 19 overs.

India reached 37/2 in 18 overs, reducing the trail by 51 overs with Kohli and Pujara out in the middle.

Australian spinner Nathan Lyon removes indian skipper Rohit Sharma for 12 runs, India trails by 56 runs.

Pujara scored the first boundary for India in the innings, in the fourth ball of the 13th over. India were 30/1 after 13 overs.

India reached 24/1 in 11 overs and is now 64 runs behind Australia.

India was 19/1 in nine overs with Rohit and Pujara on the crease.

Shubman Gill was dismissed by Nathan Lyon in the final ball of the 5th over.

Australia would be the happier side at the end of day's play as after first 2 Test matches, they would'nt have thought that they will rattle team India within first 2 sessions of Day 1. In reply of India's 1st innings score of 109, Australia lost the wicket of Travis Head in the 2nd over but from there on Marnus Labuschagne and Usman khawaja added 94 runs for the 2nd wickets.

Indian bowlers and Ravindra Jadeja in particular came back strongly towards the end of day's play and he took all the 4 Australian wickets.

Australian team will look to take lead past 100 on day 2 to put Indian team under pressure and Team India's bowlers will look for quick wickets in the morning.

Ravindra Jadeja has dismissed Australia's skipper Steve Smith for 26 runs. Srikar Bharat took a great catch.

Australian skipper Steve Smith scored back to back boundaries against Axar Patel as Australia extends its lead.

Usman Khawaja was dismissed after scoring 60 runs off 144 balls in Australia's first batting innings. The Aussies were reduced to 125/3 as Jadeja registered his third wicket.

Australia's total reached 118/2 at the end of the 39th over, with Usman Khawaja batting on 59* and Steve Smith on two runs off seven balls.

Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed on 31 runs off 91 balls by Ravindra Jadeja, reducing Australia to 108/2 in 35 overs.

Australian opener Usman khawaja has scored brilliant half century and he along with Marnus Labuschagne are looking to pile on runs as Australia trails by 9 runs.

Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja have added 78 runs for the 2nd wicket as Australia now trails by 19 runs.

Australia reduced their trail to 28 runs as Australia added 10 runs in the 23rd over.

Australia found themselves at 71/1 in 22 overs at the end of the second session on Day 1. Khwaja is batting on 33 runs off 77 balls, while Labuschagne is unbeaten on 16 off 51.

Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuchagne have added runs for the 2nd wicket and Australia now trails by 39 runs.

Australia reached 43/1 in 13 overs as India got several wicket-taking opportunities which were turned down.

Australia reached 26/1 after seven overs in their first batting innings, trailing behind India by 83 runs. 

Jadeja was denied a wicket for the second time in the innings due to no-balls. He had a chance to remove the no. 1 Test batsman Marnus Labuschagne in the 4th over.

Travis Head was dismissed by Jadeja in the second over of the innings, reducing the Aussies to 12/1 in 1.4 overs. 

R Ashwin was asked by Rohit Sharma to bowl the very first over of Australia's batting innings.

Mohammed Siraj's run-out reduced India to 109/10 in the first innings. While Axar remained unbeaten on 11 runs off 31 balls, Kohli scored a maximum of 22 runs in 52 balls for India.

After scoring 17 quick runs off 13 balls, Umesh Yadav became Kuhnemann's fifth wicket of the innings. India were 108/9 after 32.3 overs.

Umesh Yadav hit another four in the second ball of the 31st over to complete 100 runs for India.

Known for his explosive style of batting, Umesh Yadav hit Nathan Lyon for a six to end the 30th over with the score at 95/8.

R Ashwin scored three runs off 12 balls during his short stay at the crease on Day 1. With his wicket, India was reduced to 88/8 in 28.3 overs.

India's score stood at 84/7 in 26 overs as the lunch was called on Day 1.

Nathan Lyon took the wicket of KS Bharat, reducing India to 82/7 in 24.5 overs.

KS Bharat hit Todd Murphy to score the first six of the match for India. The score stood at 82/6 after 24 overs.

Todd Murphy has dismissed Virat Kohli thrice in the last three games, since making his debut in the 1st Test.

Axar Patel hit a four in the fifth ball of the 23rd over, taking the total to 75/6.

India were reduced to 70/6 in 21.4 overs as Virat Kohli was dismissed by Todd Murphy.

India reached 69/5 in 20 overs with Kohli and KS Bharat pulling off the rescue act.

The Aussies went upstairs with a DRS call for lbw against KS Bharat, but were denied his wicket. Bharat hit a boundary in the very next ball, before ending the over with a dot ball. India was 66/5 in 17 overs.

India scored their first boundary after seven overs as Kohli hit a four off Nathan Lyon to end the 13th over.

Shreyas Iyer was dismissed by Matthew Kuhnemann in the 12th over of the innings before he opened his account. India was reduced to 45/5 in 11.2 overs, as KS Bharat joined Virat Kohli in the middle.

Its not the start that Team India wanted as Ravindra Jadeja, who was promoted up the order ahead of Shreyas Iyer has been dismissed after 4 runs.

Cheteshwar Pujara was left surprised by the amount of spin as the bowl kep low and went straight to hit the stumps.

After Rohit Sharma's four to Starc in the 3rd over, Shubman Fill hit two boundaries off Green's over, taking India's total to 22/0 in four overs. Shubman hit another four in the third ball of the 5th over.

Shubman Gill hit a boundary to Cameron Green in the second ball of the 2nd over to score his first runs of the match.

Replays showed that Rohit Sharma survived an lbw call in the 4th ball of the 1sr over after surviving an appeal for caught out in the very first ball. Australia opted not to go for DRS on both ocassions.

Rohit Sharma hit Starc for a boundary in the 5th ball to score the first runs for India.

Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc will bowl the first over for Australia, while Rohit Sharma takes the strike for India. Rohit survived a massive appeal for caught out in the very first ball.

The Indian openers will come out to bat in a short while, as the play is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM IST.

The surface at the Holkar Stadium in Indore is known for providing help to batters, with spinners also looking to extract the most. The Indian spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel might yet again put the Aussies under scrutiny at the Holkar pitch. Murali Kartik and Matthew Hayden mentioned during the live broadcast that the pitch looks similar to those used in the first two games.
