India VS SA: Ticket sales on hold for series-deciding 3rd ODI amid coronavirus outbreak

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has put the ticket sales of the series-deciding 3rd and final ODI between India and South Africa on hold

ongoing One Day International series between India and South Africa is t turning out to be as planned. first ODI was washed out due to rain while 2nd ODI which is scheduled to be played at Ekana Stium in Luckw on Sunday will be played in an empty stium. This news was confirmed by UPCA secretary Yudhveer Singh on Thursday. w, it has been learned that sale of tickets for series-deciding third and final ODI at Eden Gardens, Kolkata has been put on hold.

CAB puts ticket sales on hold

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided to put  ticket sales on hold for third ODI between India and South Africa on March 18. This might be owing to match being played in a crowd less stium due to  outbreak of COVID-19 which has spre its tentacles all over world.

Cricket fans were disappointed after first of three-match ODI series between India and South Africa was abandoned due to rain without a ball being bowled at HPCA Stium in Dharamsala on Thursday. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was all set to make his return to international cricket after a lower back injury h kept him out of action for six months but fans could t witness it as rain h final say in contest.

South Africa tour of India ODI series

With first ODI abandoned both teams will be leaving stone unturned in winning remaining two One Day Internationals. Meanwhile, HPCA Stium h also hosted first T20I between India and South Africa in September last year which was also abandoned due to rain. T20I series ended as a stalemate as both teams ended up winning two games each that followed. However, Kohli & Co. returned favour in Test series as y whitewashed Faf du Plessis-led side 3-0. 

w, in second leg of this bilateral series, it remains to be seen which team will have last laugh. second ODI will be played at Ekana Stium in Luckw on Sunday while series-deciding third ODI will be played at iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
