India's 2019 home cricket season against South Africa is well underway. The series includes three T20I matches as well as three test matches. The first T20I match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rains which left the fans disappointed. This match was going to be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Dharamshala. The second T20I took place at Mohali on September 18, 2019, where India won the match in a dominant manner. They chased the target of 150 runs in just 19 overs and Indian captain Virat Kohli scored 72* runs off 52 balls in the match against South Africa. India won the match with seven wickets in hand and an over to spare. The final T20I match is going to be held on Sunday, September 22 in Bengaluru. The T20I will be followed by a Test series.

India vs South Africa Test Schedule
India vs South Africa schedule for the test matches has been finalised and is as follows. The first Test match is going to be played from October 2 to October 6 at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. The second Test match is going to be played from October 10 to October 14 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. The third Test match is going to be played from October 19 to October 23 at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

Out of the three matches, two have already been held on September 15 and 18 respectively and the first match was abandoned due to heavy rains and no ball was bowled. The second match was won by team India with captain Virat Kohli scoring 72* runs off 52 balls, which included four boundaries and three sixes. The 61-run partnership between Virat and Shikhar Dhawan led the inexperienced South African side without any tricks under their belt but they did manage to pick three wickets including Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. The Indian squad looks ready to play against South Africa in the final T20I and Indian fans will be hoping for a clean sweep.
