The much-awaited selection meeting for the upcoming West Indies tour took place on Sunday and the squad for all three formats was announced. The team that was announced for the limited-overs formats saw many young faces, including the likes of Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Rishab Pant, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sunder, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, and Navdeep Saini while the Test squad saw few new faces being included. Skipper Virat Kohli is set to lead the team in all three formats of the game.
The selection meeting for the West Indies tour was hyped ever since India exited the World Cup, following their 18-run loss to New Zealand in the semi-finals. The squad for the One-day Internationals, led by skipper Virat Kohli has new faces featuring in it including Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer Khaleel Ahmed, and Navdeep Saini along with veteran players Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav, Mohammed Shami, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar.

The T20I squad was largely similar to the ODI squad, with Krunal Pandya, pacer Deepak Chahar, and all-rounder Washington Sunder getting a chance to return to play for the Men in Blue.
Mayank Agarwal earned a call-up to the Test squad along with Hanumana Vihari and Wriddhiman Saha apart from India's regular Test players. Shikhar Dhawan has been axed from the Test squad. Ajinkya Rahane has been named the vice-captain for the test side.

Rishab Pant has been included in the squads for all the three formats and has been named the wicketkeeper across all three formats. KL Rahul also found himself named in all the three squads for the Men in Blue.
All-rounder Vijay Shankar and Prithvi Shaw have been ruled out of the tournament as they have not recovered completely from their injuries yet.
